U-God, AKA Lamont Hawkins, looks to cash in on $170,000 from his label/crew, Universal Music licensed company Wu Music, for breach of contract.

Da God is claiming that back in March of 2007 he wasn’t paid his dues for his part in Wu-Tang’s latest collaborative LP ‘8 Diagrams,’ and for agreeing to do a tour. U-God actually left Wu Tang Clan in 2004 reportedly due to a conflict with group leader The RZA.

Yo and check this out, Mr. Hawkins demands a jury trial, despite the fact that he is on tour with the Wu! That’s right, these motherf*ckers are looking to come up on the man. I doubt that there’s any beef at all, record labels aren’t paying artists their rightful residuals these days because they’re holding on for dear life themselves. I say sue them, go pick up and get a phat session going.
